In the most recent report (2024) by Office of Public Works (OPW), which manages many of Irelandโs heritage-sites, Dublin Castle received 727,189 ticketed visitors, more than any other heritage site in the country.
The total recorded visits to all OPW-managed heritage sites in 2024 was 13.8 million.
For comparison, the second most-visited ticketed site in 2024 was Kilkenny Castle & Parklands, with 429,546 visitors โ significantly fewer than Dublin Castle.
Other top sites included Rock of Cashel (365,505 visitors), Kilmainham Gaol (243,078), and Dรบn Aonghasa on the Aran Islands (146,089). But none matched Dublin Castleโs numbers.
