K-drama casting news about Park Eun-bin, Seo In-guk, Hwang Min-hyun and more


A popular series gears up for a new season while a hit Korean film and a webtoon both get ready for K-drama remakes in this weekโ€™s new small-screen casting announcements.

1. Spellbound

The new spin will focus on a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a prosecutor who works to solve murder cases. Together, they begin to investigate paranormal cases.

Park, who recently starred in the medical thriller Hyper Knife, is looking over the part of Cheon Yeo-ri, the glamorous CEO of a luxury hotel whose nights are haunted by restless spirits. She will first be seen in the Netflix superhero drama The Wonderfools alongside Cha Eun-woo.
Yang, who starred opposite Bae Suzy in the Netflix drama Doona!, has been offered the role of Ma Kang-wook, a principled prosecutor who starts falling for Yeo-ri.

Released in 2011, Spellbound was one of the top ten most well-attended domestic films of that year, drawing more than 2.8 million viewers.

2. Back to Work

Seo In-guk (Doom at Your Service) and Park Ji-hyun (Flex X Cop) have been tapped to lead the coming tvN drama Back to Work, based on the webtoon of the same name.
