Virginia Giuffre, Prince Andrewโ€™s accuser in Epstein sex trafficking scandal, dies at 41

Virginia Giuffre, who accused disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and Britainโ€™s Prince Andrew of sexual abuse as a teenager, has died by suicide, her family said. She was 41.

Giuffre died at her farm in Western Australia on Friday night.

โ€œShe lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking,โ€ according to a statement.

โ€œIn the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.โ€

Giuffre was one of the most outspoken Epstein victims, and filed multiple lawsuits against him, his former British socialite girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, and other alleged abusers.

She settled a lawsuit against Epstein before his 2019 death in a Manhattan jail cell while he was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges in New York.
