Billy Joel has cancelled all his coming concerts across North America and England after being diagnosed with fluid build-up in his brain that has affected his โhearing, vision and balanceโ.
Joel revealed on social media that he has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, โa brain disorder that can affect brain-related abilities, including thinking and concentrating, memory, movement and moreโ, the Cleveland Clinic says.
โThis condition has been exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance,โ according to a statement from Joelโs team.
โUnder his doctorโs instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period.โ
In an accompanying statement, Joel said: โIโm sincerely sorry to disappoint our audience, and thank you for understanding.โ

In March, โThe Piano Manโ and โUptown Girlโ singer announced that he underwent surgery and had to undergo physiotherapy. A statement at the time said doctors expected him to make a full recovery.
